In the context of global wafer capacity constraints, downstream chip design and application manufacturers have strengthened cooperation with OEM manufacturers to lock in capacity. On January 21, 2021, in compliance with the relevant provisions on epidemic prevention and control, Sai MicroElectronics warmly received Dr. Wang, chairman of GM company, a strategic customer in the field of consumer electronics of MEMS business in Beijing, and had a full discussion on the next flow verification of silicon-based microphone chips and future mass production arrangements in the Beijing MEMS production line. Dr. Shen Yong, COO of Sai MicroElectronics, Dr. Wolfgang Beuck, general manager of Silex Beijing, Mr. Yan An, vice general manager, Dr. Ma Lin, technical director, and colleagues from engineering department, process integration department, manufacturing department, factory affairs department and IT department participated in the technical exchange. Beijing MEMS production line of Sai MicroElectronics was completed in September 2020. Since then, relevant technical teams have been actively promoting the internal verification of production line. As an 8-inch MEMS production line representing the advanced level and standardized production capacity, Silex Beijing continues to promote technical exchange and order transfer with Sweden's MEMS production line; On the other hand, it also attaches great importance to the establishment of independent process development and wafer manufacturing import capabilities for domestic customers in consumer electronics, communications and other fields. Recently, Sai MicroElectronics has actively carried out technical exchanges with domestic MEMS microphones, MEMS RF devices and MEMS inertial devices, to promote the Beijing MEMS production line to enter the stage of customer verification and large-scale production as soon as possible.
