Yang Yunchun, Chairman of SMEI, Reported to Chen Jining, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Beijing

On the morning of August 17, 2021, Chen Jining, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Beijing, and his party came to Yanxi Lake Innovation Center of Tsinghua Industrial R&D Institute in Huairou District to make a special investigation on the development of the industry of high-end instruments and equipment and sensors, and Yang Yunchun, Chairman of Sai MicroElectronics Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "SMEI"), participated in the investigation and reported to Mayor Chen Jining the planning layout, R&D and innovation progress of Beijing Haichuang Microchip Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Haichuang Microchip"), a holding subsidiary of SMEI, in Huairou District.

Beijing listed the industry of high-end instruments and equipment and sensors as one of the 29 sub-sectors of Top 10 high-grade, precision and advanced industrial systems in the City. The Municipal Economic and Information Bureau and Huairou District Government jointly formulated the "Work Plan on Promoting Innovation and Development of Sensor Industry in Beijing", which will focus on key common technologies, pay close attention to key links such as basic research, achievement transformation and industrialization, and accelerate the construction of high-end instruments and equipment and sensor industry ecology under the guidance of major national strategic needs and industry applications. Huairou District Committee and Government and Huairou Science City Management Committee put forward that leading enterprises and talent teams in the field of scientific instruments and sensors at home and abroad are cordially invited to develop in Huairou, as well as to benchmark the world's advanced levels, gather scientific instruments and sensor enterprises, promote the R&D and industrialization of key technologies, promote the deep integration of the whole industrial chain and build a highland of the industry of scientific instruments and sensors.

Chairman Yang Yunchun introduced to Mayor Chen Jining in detail the latest R&D trends of SMEI and its subsidiaries in terms of MEMS technology and the application of MEMS chips manufactured in various international and domestic markets, as well as reported the progress of SMEI and Haichuang Microchip in building Beijing Engineering Center in Huairou and the layout idea of introducing international advanced 6/8-inch production lines from overseas and further expanding process and technology R&D, which was highly praised and fully affirmed by Mayor Chen, who required relevant departments of Beijing and Huairou District Committee and Government to actively promote and do their best to land and serve the industrial project of SMEI and Haichuang Microchip and hoped that SMEI could continue to work hard and make greater contributions to the development of the sensor industry in Beijing.
