On July 5, as a hardware development platform partner of Baidu Apollo Program, Neville Technology appointed Professor Zhang Hongping, technical director of Baidu Apollo Automatic Driving Project, to participate in the Intelligent Driving Forum and give a special report on "Beidou Inertial Navigation Positioning Intelligent Driving New Era" at the Apollo Cooperative Hardware Open Course from 14:00 to 18:00.
Mr. Zhang Hongping is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of Wuhan University. He also works in the Satellite Navigation Technology Research Center of Wuhan University. He has also served as the Secretary-General of the Global Chinese Positioning and Navigation Association (CPGPS) and China A member of the second-generation satellite navigation system special expert group, deputy secretary-general and member of the CSNC of the China Satellite Navigation Annual Conference, etc. Professor Zhang Hongping has many years of accumulation and profound understanding in Beidou satellite navigation system and its application, satellite navigation theory, positioning algorithm, GNSS baseband chip, navigation terminal development, GNSS/INS integrated navigation, etc. The main research results include GNSS ionospheric delay inversion, Beidou/INS precision positioning and attitude determination research, Beidou system performance evaluation, etc. In the past five years, he has published more than 40 papers, among them, there are 13 SCI papers, 5 software copyrights, 3 patents and 1 National Science and Technology Progress Award.
Professor Hongping's special report introduces the basic situation of Neville Technology and its subsidiary Maipu Space-time. Neville Technology has the independent research and development and production capacity of the whole industrial chain covered by "inertial satellite combination", and currently has the world's leading MEMS process development and wafer manufacturing capabilities and has carried out the overall layout of "material-chip-device-system-application, we are committed to becoming a global sensor leader. Relying on the Satellite Navigation and Positioning Technology Research Center of Wuhan University, Maipu Space-time, a subsidiary of Naiwei Technology, was jointly founded by five experts from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Thousand talents Plan, the Yangtze River Scholars and overseas returnees. About the role of Beidou inertial navigation in automatic driving, professor Zhang Hongping introduced in detail the "automatic driving operation flow chart", "Beidou precision positioning service system", "inertial navigation system", "GNSS INS integrated navigation advantage", "automatic driving sensing requirement", "automatic driving high-precision positioning and attitude requirement", "automatic driving decision requirement", "automatic driving control requirement", "automatic driving navigation requirement" and "cornerstone of high-precision crowdsourcing map" ".
Regarding the automatic driving positioning and attitude determination products and product development plan of Naiwei Technology, Professor Zhang Hongping introduced in detail the overall product layout of Naiwei Technology around integrated navigation and vehicle sensors, and introduced the research and development process and progress of the three generations of automatic driving high-precision positioning and attitude determination products, the GNSS dual-antenna fiber optic gyro positioning and attitude system POS320 and the small MEMS gyro positioning and attitude system NV-GI120 are explained. At the same time, the self-developed automatic driving precision positioning and attitude software (including data post-processing software and real-time processing software) and related engineering application practices are emphasized.
Regarding the planning of the next generation of products of Neville Technology, Professor Zhang Hongping introduced the application advantages, composition framework, test effect and system error of "GNSS inertial navigation vision combined positioning and attitude determination system". Neville Technology plans to combine the development trend of software and hardware technology to continuously iteratively update existing products and provide continuous, stable and reliable high-precision positioning and attitude determination solutions for automatic driving.
