In recent years, through endogenous development and epitaxial mergers and acquisitions, Sai Microelectronics has gradually formed two main types of business: semiconductors and special electronics. In the semiconductor business, the company focuses on MEMS and GaN as its strategic business, with the company's MEMS business accounting for more than 70% of revenue in 2019, which plays a decisive role in the company's future development. At the end of December 2019, Saiwei Electronics and the National Integrated Circuit Industry Fund jointly invested in the "8-inch MEMS International OEM Line Construction Project" in Beijing to achieve equipment move in, since the outbreak of the epidemic, the construction progress of the project has been affected by many aspects, but the company efforts to overcome various difficulties, to achieve the continuous promotion of production line construction. Up to now, the construction of the project is nearing completion, the plant equipment and the process equipment required for the first phase of production capacity have been purchased and moved into the plant, and it is expected to be put into production in the third quarter of 2020.

In addition, the company's GaN business has also made rapid progress. In September 2019, the company's GaN epitaxial wafer production line was put into production and is being supplied to internationally renowned manufacturers for verification. In April 2020, the company successfully developed 650 V series GaN power device products and released PD fast charging application examples based on this series of GaN power devices, providing high-performance and cost-effective domestic technical solutions for the GaN fast charging field, which is currently in strong demand. Recently, Sai Microelectronics set up a subsidiary in Beijing to focus on the construction of independent GaN microwave and power device production lines, in order to fully layout the GaN business.
